Mission
The continuity of our energy and data supply can no longer be taken for granted. The undersea infrastructure delivering these vital resources, have become daily targets for sabotage and espionage.
In order to address this, SeaSEC was founded in December 2023 by the Ministries of Defence of six nations with similar shallow-water coastlines along the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. SeaSEC encourages practical collaboration uniting the needs and responsibilities of infrastructure owners and operators, public stakeholders, industry and research on an international level. Contributing to safeguarding the supply of energy and data, by accelerating the development and adoption of defence capabilities.
Approach
SeaSEC offers maritime testing grounds in coastal shallow waters, where experiments are conducted and validated under realistic conditions. Giving both civilian and military technology providers the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities to defence users, other public stakeholders, infrastructure owners and operators who will be adopting these technologies.
To further accelerate the development of practical solutions SeaSEC acts as a collaborative platform facilitating interaction, knowledge-sharing and cooperation between all relevant system actors. A meeting place where the most recent and relevant views, needs and possibilities are exchanged on an international level. SeaSEC also hosts virtual experimenting capabilities. Allowing for digital scenario analytics and data fusion from a wide range of sources. Fostering short cycle innovation.
