Sea What's There

Locate and track an untethered autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) within a designated area of 1 km².

Participants are tasked with detecting and tracking an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) within a designated area. They will do so within a 1-1.5 h mission and send relevant data to a shore control station at near real-time.

During part one of the mission, the participants need to stay within a designated area and detect the AUV which is sailing underwater at a specific altitude, as it approaches and recedes.

After multiple successful detections, the second part of the mission starts. In part two the Participants are challenged to track and follow the AUV within the mission area, not losing the AUV out of sight.
