Conclusions SCW25

A powerful close to an intensive two weeks at sea

Yesterday we had the honour of hosting over 100 high-level decision makers at the SeaSEC Distinguished Visitors Day in Scheveningen, including the Chief of Defence of the Netherlands, the State Secretary for Defence, and leaders from NATO, government, industry and research.

Over the past two weeks, 20 parties from 3 countries worked side-by-side to tackle real-world challenges in protecting critical undersea infrastructure — from pipeline surveillance to anomaly detection and autonomous tracking.

The DV Day marked the moment where strategy and practice met:

  • Ministers and commanders visited the challenge sites
  • Participants shared lessons and insights
  • New connections were made that will shape the road ahead

What stood out?

That experimentation works. That collaboration matters. That civilian and military systems can reinforce each other — if we’re willing to share data, learn together and build trust.

A warm thank you to all participants for your drive, resilience and openness. You are what made this a success.
