AAMI
The Alliance for Advanced Maritime Intelligence (AAMI) brings together leading technology providers to deliver a comprehensive, multi-domain maritime intelligence capability for defence, security, and critical infrastructure protection.
AAMI combines advanced passive sensing (Teledyne, OPTICS11 & ELAC Sonar), DAS fiber sensing (ASN), electric field detection (Elwave), and satellite analytics (Ubotica). Active sensor capabilities include Teledyne sonar and FLIR cameras, Lobster Robotics AUV, Blueye Robotics ROV, Stormborn X-USVs, and AIS data (JDS Monitor).
The sensor suite provides responsive detection, tracking and localization, and real-time identification and classification capabilities enabling rapid verification and targeted intervention in complex maritime environments.
Axient Systems ensures effective integration of the diverse sensor streams, while Fugro/DTACT deliver advanced data fusion and analytics. Technolution provides intuitive visualization and decision-support environments.
Together, AAMI offers a modular, scalable and interoperable architecture that transforms distributed maritime sensor data into actionable intelligence, enhancing detection, classification, and response across coastal, offshore, and subsea domains.
AAMI will participate exclusively in Challenge 5: Harbour Protection.

Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) protects critical underwater infrastructure through cutting-edge Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and fibre-based sensors. The OptoDAS interrogator provides 150+ km range and high SNR. ASN cable threat monitoring software tracks seabed interference (anchors, trawlers) from 2-3 km away from cables as well as surface vessels (10+ km).
We develop bio-inspired electric sensors that detect and classify objects on the seabed and in the water column. This “electric sense” adds a new dimension to subsea perception, beyond acoustics, magnetic and optics. Our expertise spans the entire development chain: electric sensing, electronics, signal processing, echanics, and software.

Optics11 specializes in ultra-sensitive early warning systems. OptiBarrier provides Immediate, Over-the-Horizon Threat Detection, 24/7 through modular seabed acoustic fences forming wide-area early warning grids around harbors, pipelines, and critical infrastructure. Fully optical and immune to electromagnetic interference, it requires no electrical power at the sensor and streams high-fidelity, real-time acoustic data. Engineered in the Netherlands.
